Now, Not Later We Stop The Swiftboating

We all know, it had already begun. The lies, the innuendo, the misinformation, the racist remarks, the fear mongering.  And it is just beginning.  

Today I watched as "The First Insane President" Dubya look right into the eye of the camera and state that Barack Obama was planning to bomb Pakistan.

The reporters on CNN, particularly Jack Cafferty immediately said, this is not what Obama said, in fact what he said was exactly what the President said, which was, "if we had reliable intelligence, and we knew where Bin Lauden was, we would act upon it."

The question is, is how are we going to fight this, STARTING NOW.

We need a plan of action.  A very specific plan of action to ensure that each and every time when a "swift boat" statement or any other kind of smear or lie comes about, that it is immediately addressed and on a national level if possible.

I would like to ask your opinion on how you think we could accomplish such a plan of action.  As Winston Churchill said:

One ought never turn one's back on a threatened danger and try to run away from it. If you do that, you will double the danger.  But if you meet it promptly and without flinching, you will reduce the danger by half.

One idea that I had was contacting Moveon.org since they have endorsed Barack Obama and ask them to help. Perhaps they might be willing to be a "truth squad" and immediately put to rest any statement, like the one Bush made today.  Perhaps they might have a way of ensuring that all of their links could also include this kind of proactive movement so that each day, or whenever a "swift boating" lie presents itself, it will immediately be addressed and dealt with on a national level.  

Last time this happened to Kerry, we know what happened because there was no large scale plan of action in place.  

We need a plan, and we need it now.  What do you think?  I would welcome any and all ideas as to how to organize such a movement.

We better get ready....time to dig the foxholes.  The rethugs have a lot of money stashed away to "bring on the shit pies"....and if you think we can just sit back and hope that it is all going to go away, or that "no body will believe these things..." then you are living in never never land.
